I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to explain the Pink Elephant Project, because it’s something I’ve been thinking about for quite a few years now.
The idea originally came to me while I was living alone in Colorado during the pandemic. I had started painting, something I’d never really done before, and it became a big part of my life during that time.
I spent a lot of time alone, and painting gave me something to focus on. I started creating more and more artwork, and somewhere during that time I began thinking about what I could do with it beyond just making paintings.
That’s where some of the ideas for the Pink Elephant Project started.
I’ve always wanted to do something that could help other people. And I know there are already plenty of people and organizations out there doing good things. I’d like to find ways to work with them, support what they’re doing, and hopefully bring some new people together along the way.
Art is a big part of this, but it’s not the only part.
I’d like the Pink Elephant Project to involve artists, charities, community organizations, and really anybody who has something they’d like to contribute.
I’m still figuring out exactly what this is going to look like. I have a lot of ideas, and some of them are already starting to come together.
I thought this blog would be a good place to share what I’m working on, talk about some of those ideas, introduce people I meet along the way, and show how the project develops.
I’m not sure where all of this will lead, but I believe it’s worth giving it a try.
And that’s really where things stand right now.
